Environmental Protection Agency intends to negotiate sole source with
The University of Texas School of Public Health, P.O. Box 20186,
Houston, TX 77225 for analysis of existing air quality data to evaluate
mean group exposure for PM2.5 using data from the Houston Asthma Study
conducted by the University of Texas School of Public Health. The
contractor shall write a draft report describing the analysis and
interpreting the results of the analysis. Information is being sought
on the measure that stationery ambient monitors provide for estimating
PM 2.5 personal exposure and mean group exposure. EPA believes that
The University of Texas School of Public Health is the only vendor
capable of satisfying the requirements stated above. The University of
Texas School of Public Health participated in the design,
implementation, quality controls, and analysis of hte data set to be
used to produce the report specified in the scope of work. The period
of performance is expected to be from date of award through April 1,
1998. No solicitation is available. All interested parties must respond
within 15 days of the date of this announcement. Interested vendors
shall: 1)include information on the proposed services which clearly
supports the requirements outlined above and; 2) provide itemized
pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is
