L -- DOD RADIATION EXPERIMENTS COMMAND CENTER SOL DSWA01-97-R-0022 POC Jennifer Bertuna, Negotiator, (703) 325-9368, Edward Archer, Contracting Officer, (703) 325-5028. This effort is entitled the DoD Radiation Experiments Command Center (RECC). This is a follow-on, unrestricted procurement. The DoD RECC was established in late January 1997 in response to Sec Def tasking. The RECC provides case research, customer service, record and document retrieval, and storage capability as part of its operation to respond to DoD personnel involved in radiation experiments. This effort continues the operation of the RECC for the next three years starting in August 1997. This effort includes the basic functions to staff and operate the RECC using a contractor furnished facility in the Washington, DC area. The contractor will serve as the vehicle for DoD's response to public, Congressional, and Executive Department level concerns and inquiries about individuals and events involving DoD sponsored Human Radiation experiments. The successful offeror, if not the incumbent contractor, will sustain the RECC under a transition plan prepared under the current RECC effort to incorporate the experience and knowledge gained since RECC's inception.
