NIH intends to negotiate and award, on a sole-source basis, a contract to provide computerized data about U. S. medical school faculty members in machine-readable form to use in the conduct of policy studies, and to acquire analytical services to carry out such studies to Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), 2450 N Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20037-1126. This action is being taken under the Authoirty of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) FAR 6.302-1(b)(i). NIH requires access to data and analytical services which is propriety to AAMC. NIH believes that the above referenced firm is the only source that has such data. The contract shall be for a one year with four options for additional years. Any other firm that possesses the required capacity and is interested in making a proposal is invited to make a demonstration of that capacity to the above referenced Contracting Officer.
