It is the intention of this solicitation to obtain services to deactivate and dispose of expended CHEMOX Oxygen Breathing Apparatus (OBA) canisters at the Naval Complex, Newport, RI. OBA canisters are hazardous waste and are classified as D001 and D005 in accordance with 40 CFR 261. The contractor shall provide labor, supervision, materials, equipment, temporary storage, and transportation necessary to deactivate and dispose of expended CHEMOX canisters. The contract type will be firm fixed price and indefinite quantity. The contract term will be one year with one option year. This procurement will be issued as unrestricted. The SIC code is 4953.
