a wholly-owned Government Corporation intends to award a contract to a
qualified vendor who can provide hotel and conference space in the
Philadelphia, PA region for Pre-Service Orientations (PSOs) for
AmeriCorps*VISTA members. Additionally, vendors in the Harrisburg, PA
and Newark, NJ areas will be considered. For the period April 22-24,
1997, 20 sleeping rooms will be required along with meeting space for
75 participants; for the period June 24-26, 1997, 30 sleeping rooms and
meeting space for 75 participants will be required; and for the period
August 26-28, 40 sleeping rooms with meeting space for 100
participants will be required. Proposal should include cost for both
double and single rooms if costs are different. For each of the above
sessions, the following additional services will be needed: Day 1 --
lunch and dinner; Day 2 -- breakfast (continental buffet), lunch and
dinner; and Day 3 -- breakfast (hot buffet) and lunch. Must be able to
accommodate specialty meals (vegetarian, kosher, diabetic). Morning
and afternoon beverage breaks. Meeting space capacity should be
classroom style including a description of the standard room set-up
which will include #2 sharpened pencils. Meeting space shall be
available from 9:30am-9:00pm on each of the first two days and until
1:00pm on the third day. At least one breakout room per 25 participants
should be available after 5:00pm on the first day and throughout the
remainder of the training. Registration area needed outside the
conference room. Shuttle transportation from the major common carrier
stations (airport, Amtrak, bus) must be provided at no charge to the
participants. The cost for providing transportation should be included
in the proposal. Information on parking must be provided. Provide unit
costs for rental of flip chart, overhead projector and screen, cordless
microphone, cassette player, VCR and podium. Price quote due at the
