16 -- REPLACEMENT OF ASH -33 POC Contact, Michele Webb, Phone (703)604-2000 It is the intent of the Naval Air Systems Command to negotiate with Lockheed-Martin Tactical Defense Systems (LMTDS) P O Box 64525 St. Paul MN 55164-0525 on an other than full and open competitive basis for the replacement of the ASH-33 system which is used for in-flight data storage and to extract data for post mission analysis in support of the ASUW Improvement Program (AIP). The ASH-33 will be replaced with the non-developmental replacement data storage system (RDSS) procured competitively for the Norwegian Upgrade Improvement Program (UIP). LMTDS, Eagan, MN is the AIP prime integrator for the AIP and UIP efforts and therefore, the only source for the integration of the RDSS into the AIP. See note No. 22 -- NAVAIR Synopsis No. 30060-97.
