38 -- AIRFIELD PAVING SOL F41691-97-R-0017 POC Sylvia P. Clark, (210) 652-5183 The Government has a requirement for Repair/Replace/Install new airfield paving, of new or existing roads by upgrading or replacing the damaged subgrade, base course, hot mix asphaltic concrete or cotrete type surfaces. Work is to be accomplsihed in what is known as the airdrome area of the airfields, industrial, manufacturing, and retail areas of Randolph Air Force Base TX, Hondo Auxiliary Airfield TX and Seguin Auxiliary Airfield TX. The following principal items of work include (a) repair by replacement of existing miscellaneious type road surfaces, (b) excavation when required, (c) concrete work including full depth replacement of slabs, (d) provide construction site restoration, (3) installation of new sod when required or damaged. All work to be accomplished in strict compliance with plans and specifications. The Government anticipates awarding a On-eyear basic and four one-year option years Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity contract. Requirements shall be ordered through issuance of deliery orders during the contract period. The magnitude of the proposed project is between $10,000,000 and $25,00,000. The minimum amount of work to be ordered under the life of the contract is $200,000. The maximum amount of work for each year will be the total estimated bid for each year. Performance time will be 365 days for each period. The solicitation will be issued as unrestricted. The SIC is 1629 with a size standard of $17.0M.
