The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 with IN USA, Incorporated, Needham, MA for Solent Model Wind Master 3-Axis Ultrasonic Meteorological Anemometer System with 1HZ or 4 HZ data output to include: outdoor analog input sensory outbreak box 1197, analog +/- 2.5V, 4-20 mA) and Digital RS 485 or RS 422 output, PC interface software ANEMCOM, 10 meter cable assembly, Power supply a nd interface box (PSIU), and carrying case (qty 1); Solent Model Research R3 vertically symmetric 3-Axis anemometer system to include: digital RS 422 outputs, PC interface software RCOM, power supply and interface box (PSIU), sensor input unit, carrying case, individual custom wind tunnel calibration on every unit (qty 1). Delivery is required by April 15, 1997 to Dept. of Commerce, NOAA, Atmos. Turb & Diff. Div. Oak Ridge, TN. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
