76 -- UPDATING OF HISTORY MANUSCRIPTS SOL N00167-97-M-0091 DUE 032097 POC Pandora Shields, Contract Specialist Phone 301-227-1132 Fax 301-227-1847 The Carderock Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center has a requirement for History Associates Incorporated, who conducted all the original in itial manuscript entitled "Where The Fleet Begins" History of the David Taylor Research Center 1897-1987,, to accomplish a revision of the manuscript, conduct the research and fact finding to add a final chapter to bring the manuscript up to date and make it appropriate for use as a centennial history (1898-1998) and ass to the manuscriupt approximately one hundred photographs which visually document the Division's History. Based on the material documented to date a David Taylor Lecture and Presentation is to be prepared. In addition a paper to be presented to the American Society of Naval Engineers shall be prepared and presented at their annual meeting in 1998 honoring David Taylor. anticipated award date 25 Mar 1997.
