Lockheed Martin Idaho Technologies Company (LMITCO), a management and operating contractor for the Department of Energy (DOE) at the Idaho National Engineering and Environmental Laboratory (INEEL) is issuing a Request for Interest (RFI), seeking participants to perform collaborative research and commercialization with LMITCO. LMITCO has developed unique sensing technologies in the electro-optical sensing of high voltage electrical systems. LMITCO is seeking participants who would be interested in participating in the development, licensing and commercialization of INEEL developed technologies for power systems applications. Participants from either the power industry (electric utility) or optical sensing industry would be expected to provide funding and technical expertise to the research and development program and have the financial and organizational structure to participate in the commercialization of the technology following the prototypical demonstration and development phase. This is not a Request for Proposal, but a Request for Interest only. This RFI will close to responses 21 days after publlication.
