Privott (757) 441-6561 Notice of intent to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 with the H. John Heinz II Center for Science, Economics and the Environment, Washington, D. C. to develop a conceptual framework and coordinate planning on a coastal hazards risk and vulnerability index and the true economic costs of coastal hazards for the NOAA Coastal Services Center, Charleston, SC. Deliverables will include organization and implementation of scoping meetings on the topics, brief summary reports on results and next steps. The period of performance is upon award through December 31, 1997. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the request or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No telephone requests will be accepted. Numbered Note 26 applies.
