R -- SPONSORSHIP/IN KIND DONATIONS FOR ARCTIC WARRIOR DAY SOL SVS-SCS-110-97 DUE 073197 POC Shani Johnson, (907) 552-5823/5473, FAX (907) 552-9250. We are soliciting in-kind donations or sponsorship for the Arctic Warrior Day at Elmendorf Air Force Base to be held on 15 Aug. 1997, at Paxton Park. The event will be open to all base personnel and their family members. Approximate total participation for this event is 4,000 to 5,000 people. We are looking for the following prizes: certificates ranging from $5.00 to $500.00, to be awarded to participants in all events. The event will include sporting activities between squadrons. We would like trophies for participants and or winners of each event. We would also like T-shirts for event planners and participants. This event will conclude with a large picnic for everyone who participates at Paxton Park. We would accept donations of food items such as hotdogs, hamburgers, beverages, and other such picnic food. We are looking for entertainment such as bands, Disc Jockeys, magicians and clowns. We are going to provide the entertainment during the picnic for all the participates. The total sponsorship for this event will be approximately $16,000.00. We would accept part or all of the items requested, depending on the sponsor and what they can provide. The sponsor will be allowed to display banners and information at the event. Advertising in all areas on the base will be done. Representation from the sponsor for the event will also be accepted and encouraged. All offers will be considered. More than one sponsor/donation may be accepted and additives will be considered. Requests for copies of this solicitation must be received not later than 31 July 1997. This is a solicitation for commercial sponsorship/donation by a nonappropriated fund instrumentality of the United States Government. It does not obligate appropriated funds of the Government.
