S -- RECYCLING AND RESOURCE RECOVERY SOL NA DUE 040497 POC Contact George Earle, Contracting Officer (919) 541-0377 The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC is vitally interested in continuing its program of recycling paper, glassware and plastics. In order to have a viable contract that meets the needs of the NIEHS and is equitable to the recycling industry, input from the industry is hereby solicited. Those firms interested in providing input and/or proposing on the recycling of the following items are invited to attend a meeting on Friday 4 April 1997 at 9:00 a.m. in conference room D450, Building 101, South Campus, 111 T. W. Alexander Drive, Research Triangle park, NC. Items to be recycled include but are not necessarily limited to computer paper (included green bar), white office paper, office fiber paper, newspaper, magazines, aluminum (beverage cans, foil, "pie pans"), styrene foam packing material, cardboard (OCC), beverage glass (brown, green and clear), reagent bottles (#1, 2, 3, and 5 plastic), rigid polystyrene labware, styrene pipettes, polypropylene labware, borosilicate glass, steel cans, telephone books, pallets (wood, metal, plastic), TYVEC laboratory coats/coveralls and other material that may be found to be recyclable at the meeting. Non-participation in the meeting will not exclude firms from proposing; however, input is desired from the various firms in the industry. This is an informational meeting only. No statement of work will be available until the solicitation is released several weeks after the meeting. (0064)
