Y -- GATES OF THE MOUNTAINS RECREATION PROJECT SOL R1-12-97-010 POC Contact Point, Contracting, Kathy Kuharski, 406/449-5201, ext. 210 This project consists of reconstructing two recreation sites along the Missouri River, Lewis & Clark County, Helena National Forest, Montana. These sites are only accessible by boat. Work shall include constructing a timber retaining wall, building aggregate surfaced accessible trails, replacing picnic tables and fire rings, installing a water line with hydrants, general site grading, and installing recreation signs. A Forest Service barge will be available for transporting materials to the sites. Start work date approximately 5/15/97. Estimated calendar days 120 days. Project range is S100,000 -- S250,000.
