Bureau (IBB) has an immediate requirement to reguy an existing 4-tower
medium wave antenna system at its Munich Relay Station in Germany.
Each tower is approximately 122 meters high. Work involves changing the
guying levels of these four towers from seven, to five or less and
includes construction of guy anchor concrete foundations, and
providing/installing cabling and other associated attachment hardware.
All work will be in strict compliance with all applicable German codes
and regulations and payment will be made using local currency. An
on-site pre-proposal meeting will be highly recommended for all
prospective offerors in order to be thoroughly acquainted with the
active broadcast conditions under which the work must be performed. The
RFP is planned to be issued during April 1997, with proposals due 30
calendar days thereafter. An in-country contract award will be made in
Germany. The contract performance period is estimated to be 75 days.
The estimated construction cost range is between $100,000 $250,000. If
a copy of the solicitation is desired, submit a written request to the
Contracting Officer stated above accompanied by a non-refundable
payment in the amount of $25.00 (USD) made out to the International
Broadcasting Bureau. This is a re-announcement of an IBB procurement
opportunity which was originally synopsized in the CBD during June
