NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC)intends to issue Request for Offer (RFO) 5-08152-508 for Six(6) Solar Panels, in support of the Microwave Anisotropy Probe(MAP) Spacecraft. Each solar panel nomally carries 5,200 square centimeters of solar cells. GSFC shall supply insulated honeycomb panel substrates on which the contractor shall assemble solar cells, covers, interconnects, wiring, terminal boards and associated parts and materials. The contractor shall test the panels in vibroacoustic and thermal vacuum cycling environments. This procurement is being conducted under the NASA MidRange Procurement Pilot Test Program. This requirement is being conducted on a full and open basis. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 3674 with a size standard of 500 Employees. The contract will be firm fixed price. The anticipated release date of the solicitation is March 19, 1997. Logan, by mail at the above address, by facsimile, or by electronic mail. Verification of receipt of requests rest solely on the requestor. Proposals will be due 30 days after the release date of the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by NASA/GSFC. An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerers, potential offerers, and contractors during pre-award and post-award phases of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is to communicate concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations of the interested parties to the appropriate Government personnel and to work to resolve them.
