The Defense Evaluation Support Activity (DESA) intends to solicit for the construction of a single story, wood framed addition to the existing Pacific Missile Range Facility, Building 926, Kekaha, Kauai, Hawaii. Construction to include the demolition of existing concrete pavements, wood framing, metal siding, roofing and the addition of necessary administration/office space and Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). Construction efforts to provide plumbing, electrical power, lighting, telephone wiring, split air conditioning and ventilation systems. Construction shall also include handicap accessibility, grounding systems, rerouting/connection of supporting utilities, lighting protection systems (interior/exterior), site work, relocating drainage lines, and all other incidental construction work to ensure project completion. If asbestos or hazardous materials exist, the contractor shall identify them and provide for their disposal in accordance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to such hazardous materials. All construction efforts shall be in compliance with Director of Central Intelligence Directive (DCID) 1/21 Security Standards relating to construction of SCIF facilities. Estimated construction cost is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. This solicitation is a 100 percent set-aside for small business (SB) concerns. The small business size standard classification is SIC 1542 ($17 million in annual receipts). Type of contract: firm fixed price.
