Brown Contracting Officer (703) 767-5477 Defense National Stockpile Center is seeking asbestos abatement companies to perform the following requirements: (1) Remove, package and palletize 332,942 pounds of chrysotile asbestos, stored in a steel tank, at Louisville, KY, (2) Dismantle and dispose of this tank including the foundation, (3) Provide all operational services and clean-up, (4) Environmental assessment and (5) Transport and dispose of packaged asbestos in an approved landfill. The asbestos is in a free, unpackaged state stored in a steel tank. The solicitation is anticipated to be issued on March 21, 1997.
