Vessel will transport four (4) Government passengers for 18 consecutive days during monthy of 8/97. Charter days will last up to 18 hours. Vessel must have capability to tow a bottom trawl at continuous speed of 2.5 knots, Vessel must also: 1) must be completed rigged and ready to fish including two (2) commercial scale bottom trawls and associated trawl bigging w/doors; split trawl winches with trawl cable in good condition on each drum; trawl cable must be sufficient for towing depths up to 400 fathoms; 2) equipped with trawl cable runs must be directly from the winches to the gallows; 3) equipped with hydraulic crane or boom and lifting gear for handling fishing gear, sampling gear, and underwater cages; and 4) be equipped with pot-hauler (power block) for retrieving cages. Vessel must also have one head/one shower for use by the scientific crew. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000. This is a 100% small business set-aside.
