The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, has a requirement to Design, Fabricate, and Test a Detonator for the MK 404 MOD 3 Infrared Proximity Fuze. The Detonator also will have application in the EX 419 Multi Function Fuze (MFF). This effort includes: a) Program Management; b) Formulation of Test Plans; c) Design and Producibility Engineering; d) Fabrication of Inert and Explosive Detonators; e) Fabrication of Leads, Boosters, and Fixtures for Transfer Testing; f) Reliability and Safety Testing; g) Qualification of Detonator for Navy Use; h) Failure Analysis and/or Engineering Studies; i) Reports and Presentations on above tasks; j) Delivery of Detonators; k) Documentation of Design (Drawings and Specifications); l) Configuration Management of the Design Documentation. This effort will be performed in two phases. The first phase consists of engineering development. The second phase will be exercised as an option to the contract, pending the results of the first phase and availability of funding. The duration of the contract period shall be for approximately 11 months after date of award. All deliverables shall be delivered to NSWCDD, Dahlgren, Virginia. This requirement shall be conducted as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered.
