This item is being purchased as a repair part for the ASOS Laser Beam Ceilometer. The spare parts are being purchased to support the National Weather Service ASOS Spares Program for the U.S. Dept. of Commerce/NOAA, National Logistics Support Center, Kansas City, Missouri. The Government does not have specifications or drawings and believes the item to be proprietary to the original equipment manufacturer, Vaisala of Woburn, MA., Cage Code 63653. This procurement is for equipment for which the Government intends to acquire under the authority of 41USC253(c)(1) under the guidelines of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions. Any business source, able to provide the exact make and model of the equipment referenced herein is encouraged to respond to this announcement within 15 days after it's publication.
