(AFDTC), intends to solicit, negotiate and award to one source, a basic
year requirements contract, with four one-year options under Federal
Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Commercial Acquisition, to
Instrumentation Marketing Corporation, a division of PhotoSonics, 820
S. Mariposa St., Burbank, CA 91506, (818) 842-2141. In accordance with
FAR 6.302-1, Photosonics 35MM, Model 4ML, Series 3000, are the only
known instrumentation high-speed cameras, that can meet the
government's minimum essential requirements. Cameras will be used for
photogrammetric data on range munitions test, in both tracking and
fixed remotely-controlled applications. The cameras shall be phase
locked to other existing 35MM, Model 4ML, Series 3000 Photosonics
cameras. In order to meet tracking requirements, cameras shall have
magazines with the entire film transport mechanism built into the
magazine to permit reloading within 10 seconds or less. The camera
bodies and magazines shall be interchangeable with existing 4ML
equipment. The instrumentation camera shall consist of related
accessories, Internally-Connected Datahead, Lens Mount, FDRS Driver
Assembly, 200, 400, 1000 ft. Film Magazines, Fiducials, Battery Packs,
and Boresight Tools. The cameras shall be capable of continuous
variable speeds, from 10 to 200 fps, shall be phased locked from IRIG
B signal, have dual edge timing lights w/drivers, and 9-144 degree
variable shutters. A solicitation has not yet been prepared for this

to submit information regarding their capabilities (i.e., literature,
catalogs, brochures, etc.) to furnish supplies that comply with the
requirements of the government. (No contract award will be made on the
basis of bids/proposals received in response to this synopsis.) Firms
responding to this solicitation should reference F08651-97-R-0002 and
indicate whether they are or are not a small or small disadvantaged
business concern as defined in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
52.219-1 and 52.219-2. The Air Force reserves the right to consider a
