Computerized On-Line Police System (COPS). The G-6, TISD, MCAS, Cherry
Point, North Carolina, is seeking sources who can provide a LAN/Server
based real-time online military police system; services for
implementation; and hardware requirements. This system will replace
current COPS Unisys mainframe system which is currently utilized by the
MCAS Cherry Point, NC and MCAS, Beaufort, SC. The system shall be
compatible with the existing Banyan VINES Network operating system. A
total of 75/100 users will access the system through government
supplied486/Pentium workstations 66/166 MHZ PCs with min 8 MB RAM
running the Windows 3.1, Windows 3.11, Windows NT, and Windows 95
operating systems. G6, MCAS shall require that an Offeror shall propose
and provide COPS software that supports the overall data/record
management needs of G6, MCAS and meets various general requirements
such as: (1) Provide an open, flexible architecture with the ability to
add-on additional modules as requirements change; (2) Providea
graphical user interface; (3) Be compatible with and utilize the
current government workstation environment stated above; (4) Provide
National Incident Based Report System (NIBERS) compliance; (5) Be Year
2000 compliant; (6) Provide a user-friendly environment; (7) Provide
integrated and automatic functions for backup and recovery of data; (8)
Scaleable capacity in order to handle increases in data storage
requirements; (9) Provide security of sensitive/unclassified data; (10)
Provide security control of user/program functions. Types of records
stored by this systems will include but not be limited to individual,
vehicle, decals, tickets, license, revoke/suspensions, access, joint
drug/alcohol control, firearms, pets, bicycles, flight badge, blotter,
criminal statistics, and various history records. This system will
have the capability to archive/delete records as needed. The system
will also be capable of running various reports and lists as deemed
necessary. This is a request for information only. Interested sources
