Establish, operate and maintain a Customer Small Engine Support Center at Ft Hood, Texas. Provide all the management, personnel, and any other items and services not Government furnished necessary to perform maintenance and repairs on small engine equipment. The small engine equipment consists of 23 horse power and less, gasoline powered, 2-cycle or 4-cycle engines including numerous makes and models of lawnmowers, edgers, tillers, trimmers, post hole diggers, chain saws, pumps, sprayers, spreaders, cutters, generators, ground pounders, cement finishing machines, and weed eaters. The support center will inspect, classify, and repair the various equipment. Engine overhauls and tune ups are two examples of the repairs that may be required on the equipment. Proposed contract is a firm fixed-price requirements type contract for the period 1 Oct 97 through 30 Sept 98 with a one year option. Any work under this contract will be ordered by issuance of delivery orders. SIC Code is 7699. This proposed acquisition is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Tentative issuance date is 28 Mar 97 and tentative closing date is 27 Apr 97.
