of Fossil Energy, has a support service requirement for technical,
analytical, managerial, and administrative support. A fixed labor rate,
task assignment, term contract is contemplated with a thirty-six month
base period and two twelve month option periods. The anticipated level
of effort that will be required is approximately 118,860 direct
productive labor hours for the base period and 39,600 direct productive
labor hours for each option year. This procurement will be solicited as
a total small business set aside. The Standard Industrial
Classification (SIC) code for this requirement is 8742, which has a
size standard of $5 million. The technical and analytical support
includes a broad range of activities related to energy tecnology
including: trend analysis, feasibility studies, baseline analysis, data
collection, background studies, program reviews, and program
monitoring. The management support performance will involve such
activities as: developing and maintaining databases, statistical
analysis, and monitoring control systems. The administrative support
will involve such activities as data entry, word processing, graphic
preparation, maintenance of electronic bulletin boards and normal
maintenance on databases and other information systems. The Request For
Proposals (RFP) is expected to be issued within the next 15 to 30 days
and will be available for downloading on the internet from the
Department of Energy's "Current Business Opportunities at Headquarters

WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE. Prospective offerors who do not have an
electronic means for downloading the solicitation shall submit a
written request to the Document Control Specialist at the address above
for a diskette copy of the solicitation. The requester must include a
self-addressed stamped envelope and an MS-DOS formatted high density
3.5 inch, virus-free diskette suitable for downloading the electronic
solicitation. Offerors who fail to submit an approprate diskette, or
stamped self addressed emvelope, will not receive the solicitation or
be otherwise notified. It is the responsibility of prospective offerors
