R -- FEE DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM, COLONIAL NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK POC Jackie Bishop, Contracting Officer (202) 565-1149 Under the authority of FAR 6 302.1, the National Park Service (NPS) intends to enter into a non-competitive contract with Eastern National, to collect fees for admission to Yorktown battlefield and for the use of outdoor recreation sites, facilities, visitor centers, equipment, and services by individuals and groups, at the Yorktown battlefield unit of Colonial National Historical Park, Yorktown, Virginia, under the Recreation Fee Demonstration Program, Public Law (P/L) 104-134, amended under P/L, 104- 208. Because Eastern National (a nonprofit organization) is currently on-site (the project manager would be able to manage both operations), at Colonial as a concessionair to sell convenience items, and space is not available for another contractor, it is in the Government's interest to have Eastern National operate the fee collection program.
