Dieterich (702) 295-1560 The Department of Energy Nevada Operations Office will require contractor support for personnel relocations during April and May, 1997. Approximately 450 employees will be relocated from 2753 South Highland, Las Vegas, Nevada to 2621 Losee Road, North Las Vegas, Nevada. Most of the employees are currently based in a two-story facility, which does not have an elevator. The remaining employees are in an adjacent one-story facility. The new location is a 162,000 square foot facility currently nearing construction completion. It has a basement and first and second floors, with five elevators located throughout the building. Only a small amount of furniture is scheduled for transfer. The bulk of the materials to be transported are books, files, office supplies, and personal computer hardware (i.e., monitors, CPU's, and printers). Safes and audio-visual equipment may also be included in the relocation. A presolicitation conference providing a walk-thru of the old and new facilities will be held in Las Vegas,on March 18, 1997, 8:00 a.m., at 2753 South Highland Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89109. It is anticipated that a formal solicitation (Request for Quotation (RFQ)) will be issued in the near future. All potential offerors must possess a State Public Service Commission number. Any resultant award will be made to the responsible, responsive offeror in accordance with the requirements contained in the RFQ. Only written requests for a copy of the RFQ will be accepted.
