Chronister, (509) 247-2235: David Olson, (509) 247-4867 Work includes, but not limited to the removal of rubber deposits of all types (approximately 27,000 SF) from specified areas of runway. The removal of old paint (approximately 1,000 SF) and layout work for replacing markings. Blackout paint (approximately 1,000 SF) for airfield lines on asphaltic surfaces. The application of traffic paint and reflective media to airfield payment surfaces (approximately 310,000 SF). The application of non-reflective traffic paint to airfield surfaces (approximately 225,700 SF). The protection of traffic paint until dry and hardened sufficiently to withstand traffic and all other work as specified in the specifications. The estimated value of the work is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 dollars. Performance period is 50 calendar days (20 days for submittals and 30 days which will be specified by the Government for the actual work on site). Rubber and paint removal shall be accomplished during the period beginning Thursday at 10:30 PM through Monday at 6:00 AM. The work is located in a restricted or controlled area on Fairchild AFB, WA. Government furnished materials are not included. The solicitation is scheduled for issuance on or about 2 April 1997.
