Z -- RENOVATION OF RECIEVING, SHIPPING AND STORAGE SPACE SOL FSIS-16-W-97 DUE 042897 POC Contact Point, Julie Adams, (202) 720-9891 The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) will be renovating the Eastern Laboratory recieving, shipping and storage space. FSIS is looking for a contractor to furnish the labor, equipment, materials, etc., necessary for the renovation of approximately 6500 square feet of space in the sub-basement of the Russell Research Center, 950 College Station Road, Athens, GA. Work shall include, but shall not be limited to, the following: DEMOLITION: (Architectural) Removal of existing ceilings, wall partitions, countertops, roll up door, concrete block wall, and wall louvers. (Mechanical) Removal of existing ductwork, unit heaters, thermostats, sprinkler piping and heads, and plumbing piping. (Electrical) Removal of existing light fixtures, receptables, conduit and wiring, relocation of existing light fixtures, transformers, modify existing electrical panels. CONSTRUCTION: (Architectural) provide new walls, ceilings, floor tile, painting, roll up door, base and wall cabinets, storage racks, countertops and windows. (Mechanical) provide new cooling tower, pumps, air handlers, ductwork, condenser water piping, plumbing piping and sprinkler caps. (Electrical) provide new light fixtures, receptacles, phone outlets, data outlest, and power requirements. Total estimated cost of construction for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. Time for completion of work will be approximately 120 calendar days. Solicitation packages will be available on or about March 24, 1997. No fee for plans or specs.
