Secret Service (USSS) has a requirement for a potential contractor to provide labor and materials to install, terminate, test and label multiple strands of multi-mode fiber optic cabling for a Local Area Network (LAN) within the Old Executive Office Building (OEOB) and the White House Complex (18 acres). The 18 acres LAN will interconnect offices on different floors and in different buildings to a central hub location in the OEOB. The connectivity of all office locations to the central hub will be via fibere optic cabling. All cable routing throughout the building must be in accordance with General Service Administration (GSA) guidelines concerning the historic architecture and preservation of the OEOB and White House. All work shall be completed within 45 days from the initial start date. All contractors must maintain on-site presence at the OEOB or have proper security clearance that allows access to the 18 acre facility. Security clearance includes full background and criminal history investigations. Any potential contractors who do not have security clearances or on-site presence within the OEOB must submit full background and criminal history investigation to the USSS, with proposal. Any contractor who cannot meet the security requirements will not be considered. The USSS will offer a one- time walk through site visit to all locations for any potential contractors to survey the exact details of routing and mounting locations of equipment, which will be conducted after the 15th day of publication of this CBD notice. All potential offerors should contact the USSS for exact date/time of site visit and a copy of the statement of work, which must be requested within 15 days of publication of this notice.
