amend synopsis/solicitation number N-00014-97-R-RS04 for Movable
Acoustic Partitions, previously published on 21 FEB 1997, pursuant to
technical questions received from potential offerors, and (b) to grant
and extension to the closing date. Question 1: Please advise if the
Center Frequency as identified in Section (a) is 125 Hz rather than 25
Hz. Answer 1: The first center frequency is 125 Hz with an absorption
coefficient of .98. Question 2: Please advise if a requirement for the
Transmission Loss of the Acoustic Partitions should be established.
Answer 2: Transmission loss is not a requirement. Question 3: It is not
clear in the description of the T-Frame/partition connection as to the
amount of clearance that can be tolerated between the base of the
assembled unit and the floor since conerns exist as to the amount of
noise that could leak through such a space. Answer 3: The distance
between the base assembled unit and floor shall be less than 6 inches.
Question 4: Would a door in one of the partitions be advantageous?
Answer 4: No. Question 5: Since the room area is 50 x 20, please
confirm that the partitions are each 10 feet wide and 16 feet high.
Answer 5: Panel height is 16 feet. Panel width is 10 feet. The closing
date of this synopsis/solicitation is hereby extended to 21 MAR 1997.
No other changes are made in the synopsis/solicitation.***** (0069) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0264 19970312\66-0009.SOL)
