Uthoff Datafax 508-233-5286 (Site Code DAAK60) The U.S. Army Soldier Systems Command (U.S. Army Natick Research, Development and Engineering Center), in conjunction with the National Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA) intends to conduct negotiations with Pioneer Aerospace Corporation (PAC), 45 South Satellite Road, South Windsor, CT 06074-0207 on a basis of other than full and open competition. The Government intends to negotiate with PAC for the parachute and guidance, navigation, and control systems and necessary engineering and technical support for full-scale inert drop tests and full-scale free flight atmospheric tests. This support includes providing parachute packing, rigging, and installation, test execution support, and system performance and load assessment. This is a continuation of the work being performed under contract DAAK60-93-C-0084. The X-38 project is a NASA Johnson Space Center in-house technology demonstration program designed to meet the generic requirements for a Crew Return Vehicle. No solicitation document is available.
