(NPS), Denver Service Center, is seeking a qualified firm(s),
individual(s), or group(s) with specialized expertise in socio-economic
data gathering, interpretation of the data, and trend
analysis/predictions for purposes of planning and compliance matters
for miscellaneous planning and compliance projects in national park
system units throughout the United States and its territories,
commonwealths, etc. Specific projects include, preparation of plan
elements regarding land use, demographics, and the economy(local,
regional, state, and national). Plan elements will be prepared as part
of ongoing park planning and may be an integral part of preparation of
compliance documents (environmental assessments and environmental
impact statements) which meet the requirements of the National
Environmental Protection Act, the National Historic Preservation Act,
and other pertinent laws, executive orders, regulations, and
guidelines. Required disciplines include sociologists and economists.
All services will be provided under a blanket purchase order agreement
(s). The total of all work per year will not exceed $100,000 per
purchase order. Although nationwide capabilities is desirable, the NPS
may opt to issue a number of these blanket purchase order agreements
on a geographical basis, as well. There is no guaranteed minimum
amount. All work will be guided by NPS policies and directives.
Interested parties will be required to submit samples of their work
along with a list of references of previous clients. A request for
quotations will be issued approximately 15 days after publication of
this requirement. Interested parties should contact Marlene Haussler by
