LB&M and Associates is seeking information for the U.S. Army
Environmental Center (USAEC) about potential vendors who perform "Soil
sifting/mining", "Soil Washing", "Solidification/Stabilization",
"Erosion Control", "Retaining Walls" and "Berm Design" technologies.
The information will be included in an Army manual as an aid for small
arms range managers. Vendors that have prior experience removing lead
from soil will be especially helpful, but is not a requirement.
Vendors who are interested in responding to this ad should include
company name and address, phone number, fax number, and a point of
contact within the company who can answer any pertinent questions about
their company and any aspect of the technology. Each vendor that wishes
to respond should include the following: 1) Brief description (about
one paragraph) about their technology, describing how their process
works, 2) The treatment's effectiveness or permanence, 3) List any
treatment limitations (factors that may limit the applicability and
effectiveness of the process), 4) Any residuals produced from the
process (solid, liquid, or vapor), 5) Any disposal requirements, 6) The
overall cost of the process ($/ton), please include any indirect costs,
7) The amount of time to complete don't use- cleanup (say "operations
on") a "standard" 20,000 ton site, 8) List any federal/state regulatory
