Remedial and preventive maintenance of IBM Advanced System 36 and System/36 computers and both IBM and non-IBM peripheral equipment located at approximately 2,500 sites throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Required maintenance response time is 4 business hours at the Kansas City Management Office, St. Louis Missouri Office, Ft. Collins Colorado Office and all Washington, D.C. area offices; 9 business hours for all other offices in the contiguous 48 states; and, 18 business hours for Alaska and offshore offices. The contract award will be for one year, with four, one year options. Service will commence on October 1, 1997. Telephone requests for the solicitation will not be in honored. May 13, 1997, is the anticipated due date for submission of proposals, not the date for issuance of the solicitation (refer to the solicitation for the specific proposal due date and time). It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about April 14, 1997.
