H -- VIRTUAL PROVING GROUND (VPG) INTEGRATION POC (RDPC)Raymond L. Shores, Contracting Officer, AMSMI-AC-CRAX, 205-876- 3432, Synopsis Number R124. The government is offering an opportunity for current and potential U.S. Army system prime contractors to become familiar with and conduct hardware and software integration with the government developed VPG at Redstone Arsenal, AL on an "as available" basis. This offer is an extention of the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command (TECOM) Simulation, Test and Evaluation Process Exposition conducted at Redstone Arsenal, AL from November 12 through November 15, 1996. Access to the VPG under this announcement is restricted to current or potential U.S. Army system prime contractors or contractors with teaming arrangements, as defined by FAR 9.601 Contractor Teaming Arrangements, with potential U.S. Army system primes. Integration activities will be directed and funded by the contractor and must be coordinated with Government VPG personnel. The VPG Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) facilities available for contractor use include: a 5-axis flight motion simulator for closed loop testing, Infra-red projectors for usein closed loop testing or open loop table top testing, computer image generation software and interfaces, simulation computer facility control, environmental modeling, and data collection and analysis capabilities. The VPG Virtual Prototype Simulator (VPS) facilites are also available for contractor use. Testing services for industry pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2539b(a)(3) are subject to required approvals at the appropriate levels.
