E-MAIL: Krystine O. Bui, kbui@ems.jsc.nasa.gov. NASA/JSC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Manufacturing and Calibration Support Services (MACS). This effort will provide service support for the manufacture, fabrication, modification, and repair of hardware, softgoods, and models at JSC for both flight and non-flight application. This will include knowledege of all types of steel alloys, non-ferrous alloys, softgoods, and electronics. In addition, support will be provided in the Measurement Standards and Calibration Laboratory (MSCL). A full description of the effort can be obtained upon release of the RFP. See Numbered Note 26. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. JSC plans to issue a draft RFP before release of a final RFP. The anticipated release date of the draft RFP is on or about 3/12/97 with an anticipated preproposal conference date of 3/25/97. The anticipated release date of the final RFP is on or about 4/11/97, with proposals due on 5/27/97. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Note "B". The solicitation and related documents will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in ASCII or RTF format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
