REQUEST FOR INFORMATION The Electronic Combat Development System Office (ASC/SMN) is seeking information from defense contractors citing relevant historical experience regarding schedule and cost estimates for developing and producing Test Program Sets (including test program software, test program interface hardware, test program instructions, and test program media) for use with the Joint Service Electronic Combat Systems Tester (JSECST) to verify the status of electronic warfare systems installed on the F-15, F-16, A/OA-10, and C-130 aircraft. This solicitation is issued for the purpose of obtaining information for advanced planning, program phasing, risk reduction and tailoring of technical requirements. As such, ASC/SMN is soliciting industry input regarding costs and timelines associated with specific requirements, and/or suggestions on alternative approaches that may be cost effective. The Air Force intends to acquire JSECST TPSs capable of meeting the requirements established in the Operational Requirements Document (ORD) Joint CAF-NASC 325-92-I-A. The JSECST Systems Specification and specific instructions regarding this Request for Information will be available for review on the PreAward Information Exchange System (PIXS) via the Internet at "http://www.pixs.wpafb.af.mil/". Instructions for use of the system can be found in the "User's Guide" on the PIXS Home Page. Recommend use of a 28.8 kilobyte baud rate modem, or higher.
