Zolnowsky, 605/399-6739 Solicitation DAHA39-97-B-0001 is work to be completed at the South Dakota Air National Guard, Joe Foss Field, Sioux Falls, SD. The Contractor shall be responsible in providing all labor, equipment, and materials, except those listed within the solicitation as Government-furnished. The project is Repair of the Heat System, LUXC 942008, consists of demolition of existing steam heating system including boiler, piping, fin tube radiation, air handlers and associated equipment. The work also requires the Contractor to furnish and install hot water heat system, including modular boilers, piping, fin tube radiation, air handlers and controls; replacing UV fire detectors with UVIR detectors, and installing Government furnished AFFF manual foam stations. Separate Additive Bid Items (ABI) to be in the solicitation are (1) maintain fire protection (sheet rock), (2) repair concrete, and (3) repair roofs (Bldg 40/41). Estimated cost is between $250,000 to $500,000. The approximate start date is 1 Jun 97 and the project length is 120 calendar days. Note: The Contractor will not be able to work in Building 41 for approximately 2 weeks in July while the Government's asbestos removal team is removing asbestos from the boiler and fittings.
