The contract resulting from this solicitation will include services for renovations and miscellaneous repair and alteration projects at various leased and owned facilities located in the State of Alaska. This Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) will run for a period of three (3) years. Contractors must also posses the capabilities of working at least two jobs at the same time. Specific task/work orders will be issued by the Contracting Officer in accordance with the unit price schedule and specifications. The initial contract value will be $500,000 with a maximum value of $1,000,000 over the life of the contract. The minimum amount of the entire contract will not be less than $10,000. The minimum amount of each work order will not be less than $500 nor more than $100,000. Evaluation factors are as follows: 1) Offerors will be required to submit one (1) multiplier "to be applied to the various unit prices established in the Unit Price Schedule". The multiplier must contain the offeror's overhead, profit,bonds, insurance and all other contingencies. 2) Contractors must have a minimum of two years of experience, as of the date of issue, in general construction work. 3) Show documentation of employee safety training. 4) Demonstrate use of line item estimating methods. 5) Previous work with IQC's. 6) Ability to work with spreadsheets, i.e., line item estimating. 7) Willingness to work in remote locations. A preproposal conference will be held at the USPS, 3720 Barrow Street, Second Floor, Anchorage AK on Tuesday, April 8, 1997 at 2:00 pm. Solicitations will be available on or after March 11, 1997.
