Z -- WILLOW CREEK DAM OUTLET WORKS MODIFICATIONS, AIR VENT PIPE, SUN RIVER PROJECT, MONTANA SOL 142597SQ6000710 1425-97-6720000-00710 DUE 050297 POC Purchasing Agent, BEVERLY BECKMAN, 406-247-7807 The principle components of the work includes surveying the surface location of the drill hole on top of the dam, rotary-drilling a maximum 5-inch-diameter pilot shaft (cased through dam embankment/glacial till as a minimum) followed by rotary-drilling a maximum 16-inch-diameter shaft (cased through dam embankment/glacial till as a minimum) approximately 75 feet total depth through dam embankment/glacial till and bedrock to intercept the outlet works tunnel crown within a tolerance of 0.5 percent of vertical and within 4 1/2 inches of the tunnel centerline, performing full time monitoring of drilling pressures not to exceed 0.5 psi per foot of depth, performing full time bidirectional survey monitoring of verticality during drilling and making navigational adjustments as necessary to meet specified tolerances, furnishing and installing approximately 75 feet of 10-inch-diameter Schedule 80 PVC pipe in the drilled shaft, constructing a concrete pad with flanged connections, furnishing and installing a 10-inch-diameter standard steel riser pipe with a 180-degreelong-radius elbow, forming the installed pipe/tunnel connection, and tremie backfilling the annulus with a cement-sand-bentonite grout. The work is situated approximately 6 miles northwest of Augusta, Montana, in Lewis and Clark County. Estimated price range of the work is $25,001 to $100,000. Request for Quote (RFQ) packages will be available approximately March 28, 1997. Requests for RFQ shall be received on or before Close of Business (COB, 4:30 p.m.), May 2, 1997. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1629. No charge for the first copy of tyhe RFQ, additional sets will be $9.00.
