Surface prepare and paint the interior of the top three levels of the Lighthouse, repair/rehab nine (9) wood windows within the lighthouse, re-point interior brickwork (approximately 550 square feet), replace 15 window panes and seal all 48 panes in lantern room, repair four (4) stair treads on spiral staircase, repair cast iron cracks (approx. 100 lineal feet), and seal masonry cracks in lighthouse (approximately 150 lineal feet). Existing coatings have been tested and are lead-based. Estimated performance period is 75 days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Estimated range of this procurement is $100,000.00 to $250,000.00. The SIC Code for this project is 1542. Size standard is $17.0 million. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency. This is an unrestricted acquisition and open to both small and large business pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Telephone requests will not be accepted. "This notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The DOT Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1,000,000.00 per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guarantee on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.00.
