This serves as the request for quote for a mobile programmable outdoor sign needed to put into position at Juarez Circle to help traffic at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. The contractor shall supply one (1) trailer-mounted, outdoor use, electric display sign for traffic control. Characters should be visible and readable in day or night operations with Tricolor (Red, Green, and Amber). The message will contain a minimum 48 Alpha/Numeric Characters with the minimum line length of 12 characters. The character height is a minimum 9 inches and maximum 12 inches. The maximum total height of the sign, not to exceed 7' with bottom of actual message area to be 3' from the ground. The trailer shall have a commercially available hitch connection for towing capability. The sign shall operate on 110v with a minimum cord length of 100'. The sign shall have a remote cordless programming capability with minimum distance 1/4 mile. IBM compatible with Windows 3.11. Preset message capability for a minimum of 5 messages. Cabinet finish, black or metal finish resistant to outdoor weather from 20'F (with wind chill) to 110'F.
