The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a Wilhemy Microbalance for Measuring Dynamic Contact Angle of Carbon and Glass Single Fiber Filaments. The instrument shall be designed to provide accurate and reproducible surface tension values using glas slides (22mm x 40mm x 0.15mm) and solid/liquid interface contact glass (less than 20 micrometers in diameter) single fiber filaments. The system shall be capable of providing surface tension measurements using the Du Nouy ring or Wilhelmy plate method and shall be upgradable to perform critical micelle concentration (CMC) measurements with purchase of appropriate equipment from the company.
