The U.S. Department of Energy intends to award a Purchase Order on a sole-source basis to the Hewlett-Packard Company to upgrade the Department's existing HP 3000 model 992/200 computer to a HP 3000 model 996/300 computer. The following items will be acquired: one A3394A, HP 3000 CS 99x board upgrades; one A3430A, CS 992/200 to CS 996/200 upgrade; one A3430A Option 002; one A3430A Option 0S6; one A3444A, HP 3000 CS 996/300 upgrade from 996/200; and one A3444A Option 0S6. The determination to use other than full and open competition was made in accordance with 41 U.S.C. (253)(c)(1).
