Chief Joseph Dam Project, Bridgeport, WA (a hydropower electric
generating plant with 27 units) requires supply of approximately
150,000 gallons of new turbine lubricating oil; delivered, filtered and
off loaded on-site. The Contractor will also be required to dispose of
approximately the same amount of mixed type used turbine oil.
Deliveries and removal shall be by tanker truck (not barrels) in 3,000
to 8,000 gallon increments over an 18 month period. Waste oil shall be
disposed of in accordance with applicable environmental regulations and
documentation requirements; disposal records and shipping manifests are
required. The Contractor shall furnish the Government with oil samples
from all deliveries. Should the oil fail prescribed tests, performed
by the Government, the Contractor, at his own expense, shall remove all
contaminated oil, and provide new replacement oil. Specs available on
or about 24 March 1997 at no charge per set. Documents will be issued
on a first come, first served basis until supply is exhausted. No phone
requests accepted. Refer to IFB No. DACW67-97-B-0031 when ordering.
Requests must be in writing and must be received before bid documents
will be mailed. Requests may be FAXed to (206) 764-6817 or requested
via internet e-mail at plans-room-cenps-ct@nps.usace.army.mil
confirmation copy need not be mailed. Specs may be picked up from the
Plans Room Monday thru Friday between the hours of 7:30 A.M. and 3:30
P.M. Submit requests by 19 March 97. Standard Industrial Classification
