D -- MAINTENANCE SUPPORT FOR INTEGRATED TURNKEY SYSTEM & SOFTWARE SOL NHLBI-PS-SP-97-395 DUE 032697 POC Deborah Coulter, Purchasing Agent, (301) 435-0368, Fax number (301) 480-3345 The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Innovative Interfaces Inc., 5850 Sehllmound Street, Emeryville, CA. 94608, for a (6) six months period to provide equipment maintenance service, replacement parts and support services for the NIH Library's Integrated Turnkey system, which consist of circulation, online catalog document delivery, acquisitions, serials and management information. The system is comprised of a Unix server with multiple hardwir ed ports and network connection, Innovative Interfaces, Inc's software components, terminals, printers, scanners, an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and a 9-track tape system. The system was developed by Innovative Interfaces Inc. The industrial classification (SIC) Code 7378, Size Standard $12.5M, will be used for this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this requirement. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurement. The purchase order will be awarded fifteen (15) calendar days after the publication date. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency.
