Brown, (703) 693-5011 The Defense Supply Service-Washington (DSS-W), on behalf of the Joint Staff, has a requirement to provide management, operational, and analysis support for the development of joint doctrine, joint terminology and related projects. Contractor personnel must be fully conversant with joint doctrine development and issues in order to review developing joint doctrine publications, write selected joint doctrine publications, and develop and maintain automatic data processing projects. These projects include operating and maintaining the Joint Electronic Library (JEL), developing the JEL on CD-ROM, converting paper and electronic documents into files suitable for the JEL, maintaining the automated management system for joint doctrine development, the developing and maintaining projects on the World Wide Web and the maintenance of the Joint Terminology and Joint Abbreviation databases. The Government intends to release Request for Proposals (RFP) number DASW01-97-R- 0064 requesting offerors to provide technical and costing information in response to the solicitation's terms and conditions. This requirement is 100% 8(a) set-aside. All participating vendors must be certified 8(a). The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) for this procurement is 7379.
