USAID/Jordan intends to execute a modification to contract number 278-0288-C-00-4026-00 with Development Alternatives, Inc. of 7250 Woodmont Ave., Bethesda, MD, under the Water Quality Improvement and Conservation Project. The modification, estimated at $3,900,000, will be implemented over a 20 month period and extend the current contract by 9 months. The activities extended under the modification include continuing specialized services in the areas of management information system development, laboratory upgrades, water monitoring system enhancement and irrigation water management improvement. USAID/Jordan intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of AIDAR 706.302-70(b)(5). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received thirty days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed modification based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. (0070)
