ALL OTHER INFORMATION PUBLICIZED IN THE ORIGINAL SYNOPSIS IS CORRECT SOL RFP No. 5-JC-965-39 DUE 060997 POC Contracting Officer, Richard C. Trigg, for information contact Lynn D. Request for proposals (RFPs) for the continued operation of the Dayton Job Corps Center located at 3849 Germantown Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45418 will be available approximately April 08, 1997, for issue in response to written requests. It is anticipated that the resultant contract will cover the period March 01, 1998 through February 28, 2000 plus three Governmental unilateral options of one year each. The approximate average center capacity will be 300 students of which 172 are residential males and 128 are residential females. Job Corps is a residential training program for economically disadvantaged youth, between the ages of 16-24. The contractor shall provide academic and vocational training; operate a counseling and residential living program and provide the following support services: Health Services, Processing of Student Records, Discipline System, Clothing Issue, Mail Services and Legal Services. The contractor will also provide overall center management and administration, staff training, financial management, procurement and property management, facility operations and maintenance, security and safety services, community relations and public information. All activities will be in compliance with applicable DOL/Job Corps regulations, policies and handbooks. A walk-through inspection of the facility, followed immediately by a Pre-Proposal Conference, will be convened at 8:30 a.m. eastern time on Tuesday, April 22, 1997. Upon entering the facility, offerors must stop at the front desk where they will be given directions for the conference and tour information. All questions prior to the Pre-Proposal Conference should be submitted in writing. Requests for this solicitation should include two (2) self-addressed mailing labels. Proposals in response to this RFP will be due no later than 12:00 p.m. Noon central time on June 09 1997, at the following address: U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Job Corps, 6th Floor, Room 676, 230 S.
